ChordVox is an AI voice input method designed with privacy as the highest priority. We believe your voice and your words belong to you — not to us, not to advertisers, not to any third party.
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the licensing system:
| Data | Purpose | Stored Where |
|---|---|---|
| Device ID (random UUID) | License activation binding | License server |
| Platform & app version | Compatibility & support | License server |
| Email (at purchase) | License delivery & support | Lemon Squeezy (payment processor) |
| License key status | Activation validation | License server |
If you choose to use cloud-based AI polish features (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, or custom endpoints), your transcribed text will be sent to the respective third-party API provider. This is entirely optional — you can use local AI models (llama.cpp with GGUF) instead for fully offline operation. We do not act as an intermediary for these API calls; your API keys connect directly to the provider.
The application may generate local crash/error logs for debugging purposes. These logs do not contain user input content by default. Crash logging can be disabled in Settings. We do not automatically upload crash logs — they remain on your device unless you choose to share them with support.
