Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using ChordVox ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the terms of your purchased plan:

Subscription (Monthly / Yearly): Pro features are unlocked while your subscription is active. You receive ongoing updates and new features during the subscription period. You may cancel anytime; access remains until the end of the billing period.
Lifetime: One-time purchase granting permanent usage rights to the current version. Includes updates within the current major version series (v1.x). Major version upgrades (e.g., v2.0) or new feature packs may be available at a special discounted price for lifetime users. You retain full access to the version you purchased regardless of future releases.

3. Device Activation

Each license key may be activated on up to 2 (two) devices simultaneously. If you need to change devices, you may deactivate a device through the management portal or by contacting support. Self-service deactivation is limited to prevent abuse (e.g., 2 resets per 30 days).

4. Digital Delivery

Upon successful payment, a license key is automatically issued and delivered on-screen and via email. Digital delivery is considered complete when the license key is issued. If you experience activation issues, please contact support before requesting a refund.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Resell, redistribute, or transfer your license key to third parties
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Software
Circumvent or attempt to bypass license validation mechanisms
Use the Software for bulk automated abuse or in violation of applicable law
Share a single license key across more devices than permitted

6. Privacy

ChordVox processes speech-to-text locally on your device by default. Audio files are not uploaded to our servers. We collect minimal data: license activation status and basic device metadata (platform, app version). We do not collect, store, or analyze any user input content. 7. AI Output Disclaimer

The AI polish feature generates text suggestions based on your voice input. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated output. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using any text produced by the Software.

8. Payment & Billing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Prices displayed on the website exclude applicable taxes; tax is calculated at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Receipts and invoices are provided by Lemon Squeezy.

9. Refunds

Please see our Refund Policy for full details. In summary: digital products are considered delivered when the license key is issued. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.

10. Termination

We may suspend or revoke your license if you violate these terms, including but not limited to abuse, unauthorized redistribution, or fraudulent refund requests. Upon termination, your right to use Pro features ceases immediately.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Software.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer resides. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or in-app notification. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance.
